Chandigarh, February 13, 2026: CS Arjun Tyagi, Chairman of the CLGC Committee of Punjab Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Regional Council Member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India–NIRC, described the Union Budget 2026 as growth-oriented and forward-looking.

Expressing his views on the key highlights of the Union Budget 2026 at a programme held in Chandigarh, CS Arjun Tyagi stated that the Budget provides relief to the middle class while extending strong support to industry and the MSME sector.

He highlighted record capital expenditure on infrastructure, policy support for startups and innovation, simplification of the tax system, promotion of digital compliance, and fiscal discipline as measures that would further strengthen investor confidence.

Tyagi added that the special focus on manufacturing expansion, employment generation, green energy, and the digital economy would play a crucial role in transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. He expressed confidence that the Budget would enhance India’s global competitiveness and accelerate the journey towards building a self-reliant, inclusive, and economically strong nation.
